Hi! I’m currently trying to rethink for my future setup and wanted some advice from players with experience?
My playstyle is a close-to-table offensive spin attacker focused on spin variation and deceptive placement. I'm BH dominant and use my FH as a pressure weapon. I like generating tricky SPIN and forcing weak returns rather than just overpowering opponents. My forehand is mainly used for loops/smashes and to finish points.
You are not backhand dominant (just because maybe you use your backhand more)
You are BH dominant if you can both control rallies and also finish of points like you claim to do on your forehand .
You are just like the 90% of the population who delude themselves that they are backhand dominant just because they want look like a pro who is backhand dominant like Rosskopf etc
Only about 10% of human are backhand dominant at best.
Tennis has recognized this more than 50 years ago and moved on to two handed backhand
But the robotNazi controlled ITTF & its coaches have continued to brainwash the clueless that anyone can play backhand equal to their forehand in terms of power, consistency etc which is pure nonsense
So if effect 90% players end up using dumb rackets though they have no clue exactly why
