Why are dumb rackets so popular in table tennis

I was just wondering why dumb rackets are lot more popular than smart rackets
If you go to a sporting goods store , they only carry dumb rackets mostly with smooth rubbers with foam

Because the ITTF coaches have been brainwashed to think that only dumb racket users are "normal" players &top spin is the ONLY way to play table tennis.
If you want play using back spin (using long pips) or no spin (using wide pips or anti) then something is wrong with you & you are abnormal
