Japanese tabletennis products (& European products) are definitely the best & most evolved. And it used to be that Chinese products lagged behind. Though Chinese tabletennis products are like their other products being designed with a philosophy of just enough quality, they are more than good enough for almost amateur players. I know I know there is lots of politics going on these days about buying Chinese products. Personally Is topped buying on Ali Express because almost all the time they will not accept returns. And some countries have banned Ali Express I think.
Still , as far as tabletennis goes my opinion is that all Japanese & European & (even Korean & Indian) tabletennis products are designed for professional players and amateurs do not really need them & the Chinese quality is just more than good enough. True that some Chinese products such as DHS Hurricane may be starting to be artificially overpriced & Chines fully exploited the National version & Provincial version gimmicks but overall my opinion is that you really do not need Japanese & European table tennis products.
I will be honest, most European & Japanese products also do not support players who use anti-social rubbers.
So if you live alternative tabletennis lifestyle, my opinion is that you should not be buying Japanese & European tabletennis products
