Carrolton Texas- March 18, 2023 Tournament. Some comments & suggestions

I was passing by in the area & just checked out the place during tournament.
The gym was very nice & big,
Nice pictures at your website

Some suggestions.
The tables were too close. I do not if you were pressed for time. If not it woudl make sense to have less tables & also barrier them individually (using the corrugated cardboards of course.....I know buying actual barriers is more expensive)
It may even be dangerous for doubles as layers may collide.
You should be able to have more tables for earlier rounds but remove tables as you reach quarter finals. I know it is a pain.

From my experiece double elimination is much better than consolation if you cannot do round robin.
Maybe you you can accomodate only limite number of players but round robin for early rounds is even better if you can pull it off. You probbaly know that but just saying.
You may want to consider women's event. I know you may get very few players but a good gesture

Good luck

I also noticed that your tournament was not listed on Omnipong
I am not associated with Omnipong but just trying to be helpful
You can list your tournament Omnipong for free I think
I may be wrong but they only chrage you for extras such as publishing results there but you do not have to I think
So players can register there online easily.
It does not have to be a USATT sanctioned tournament
If you goto tournaments page at Tournaments you will see lots of unsanctioned tournaments listed there from all states

You get lot of exposure if you are Omnipong

You may also want to join USATT as a club.
You may not like USATT (I don't) but it gives good exposure & some image if your club is listed there

Almost all clubs affiliated with USATT are running unsanctioned tournaments as well as sanctioned.
Few of them run ONLY unsanctioned tournaments
