Cuatom blade makers for rackets

Post by Betsy »

A blade (also known as frame or baseboard in some counties) is the internal non rubber part of the racket that can be made of all wood layers or a combination of wood layers & composite layer materials
1. The composite material cannot be more than 15% of the total blade
2. The composite material cannot be the outermost layer where the rubber sheet gets glued onto.

Most recreational players buy the the racket as whole & rubber comes already factory glued to the blade.
However almost all tournament players, even the lowest leve, buy the blade & rubbers separately & glue the rubbers to the blade themselves. This is done because you can customize yoru blade to match it to your personal playing style which can be very different for almost all players.

Almost all players buy factory made blades but there are a few players (usually at the amateur level) who have a custom blade maker design a blade for them.

This thread will provide links to various custome blade makers.

You may want to check which country the blademaker is located because the international shipping charges for small businesses may be quite high.
You may also want to check on return policies
