I am a beginner & I hear the word loop from table tennis players

What does this really mean ?

Loop is the term used for the name of stroke in table tennis that produces lots of top spin.
It is called a loop because the ball does not travel in a flat trajectory but travels in a curved arcing trajectory.

Loop is the most important stroke in modern sponge version of table tennis
And now there are so many varaions of the loop such as fast loop, slow loop, side loop, counter loop, slide loop, reloop.
You will also hear terms like dummy loop or fake loop
And you will also hear phrases like anti-loop rubber
