Magic 77 Super Pips

As most of you may not know for sure, pips rubbers listed on ITTF LARC are 200% functionally useless in the 40+ plastic ball ONLY era. This section is for discussion about older rubbers from 38 mm ball era & 40- celluloid ball ere that may be still more functionally useful in the 40+ plastic ball era than rubbers designed for 40+ plastic ball ONLY era. This section also discusses new rubbers that are not listed on ITTF LARC but are functionally superior to rubbers currently listed on current ITTF LARC. Contrary to popular myth ITTF is NOT the sole supreme authority on table tennis & you are free to use these super functional rubbers as you wish. The question of who will play against you is a just only a matter of who are your true friends in table tennis & not ITTF rules or regulations especially at lower levels & especially in tournaments not affiliated with ITTF (incorrectly referred to as “unsanctioned” tournaments)

Magic 77 Super Pips

Post by Ralph 23 »

Magic 77 is a new high aspect ratio super long pips rubber designed for the 40+ plastic ball ONLY era
This is the best all round rubber for the 40+ plastic ball ONLY era

Very high looper torture index because of its higher aspect ratio & possiblyteh length slightly longer than 2.0 mm
The back spin is far superior to Feint Long 3 & KTL Stranger, the best chopping rubbers listed on ITTF LARC

Best all round pips I have ever played with.
This is a super pips type with extremely high spin reversal agsinst incoming loops & looper torture index.
Crazy thing is you can also hit & block quite well with it though this not a frictionless pips
Too bad the top of pips are not rough enough. If they are , spin reversal & looper torture index woul dbe even more crazy
Highly recommended for choppers to survive and fend off extermination in the 40+ plastic ball ONLY world.
This is a Chinese rubber costing less than $15

Even good for at the table blockers with high control though this is not meant to be a deceptive rubber
