Sorry incorrect. Short pips is TOTALLY useless as a weakside (backhand for most) rubber
Here is why

Yes you can hit with short pips on backhand but the % is much lower on backhand.

Op is using the right rubber which is long pips. Long pips are lot more effective overall on backhand
If you hit hard with long pips OX on backhand at even 2200 levels , it is not coming back or comes back weak to continue attacking with forehand.
Short pips is a forehand ONLY rubber with limited scope (only for most talentd pros or older players who cannot loop or never learne dto loop with spinverted from their youth)

I never understood why players use short pips on the backhand either.
It is so limited even on the forehand for only the best players or older players who cannot loop or never learned to loop
