Hi gang,
I’ve decided to play with a Seemiller grip.
Why ?
How do you know the American grip is your natural grip ?
You cannot choose grips based on what works for others or what is the best grip (penhold).
You are cursed or blessed with your natural grip

So if have a coach , should he or she be able to explain the various grips & whethe rit will work for you ?
Or whould you be asking Danny or Ricky or Randy Semiller Or Eric Boggan ?

I’m about to get new forehand rubber for my Sardius; backhand rubber is anti.
Wrong choice. Anti is old news
You want a blacking type OX super long pips
Anti is easier to use but also equally easier for opponents to play against
Please refer to the topic Duality priciple of table tennis for more on this

I’m using Butterfly super anti.
This , along with Yasaka Anti Power are very old antis.
Most current modern anti users use Dr.Neubauer anti's known as frictionless antis, which are far more disruprive.
However I strongly advise against anti and suggest you only use super long pips like Avalox Mo or Mo Wang 3 or one of many Indonesian super pips .

Plan on developing a strong forehand loop due to the grip and style. No backhand loop. Basically I’m going to try and play like Dan Seemiller’s style.
Seemiller grip is a forehand orientsd Amrican grip. This is why Seemiller in his prime had one of the fastest loops in the world according to former Engligh Chmapion late Chester Barnes in his book" Advanced Table Tennis Techniques"

Eric Boggan's is backhand oriented American grip. You need to understand the difference & choose the right one best for you
