Pickleball and table tennis

I have nothing against pickleball per se. If that is what you enjoy more power to you.
But what I do have a problem is crazies like StillTT and twiddler trying to turn table tennis into pickleball.
Didn't they try this Europe with TTX and fail miserably ?
