I need great cushioning for play on bare concrete floor.
I am not sure if cushioning is a big problem in any shoe
Because you can buy cushion inserts separately.
When I userd to play, I always looked for the ligthest possible shoe .
I actually weighed them.
I used to play with sprint spikes (rubber spikes but just did not screw in the spikes) or wrestling shoes for ankle support.
I would first nuy any shoe I liked otherwise. Then I used cushion inserts if I felt support was lacking.
You are correct . Concrete floors can be hard on your feet
I glued them in if I felt too much slippage with the inserts

BRS, my friend, you may have bigger problems.
I think your wide pips with sponge on your backhand may be your weight problem
Wide pips is theoretically the best forehand rubber but it is also the worst rubber for backhand
Visit this link to read why

Do the right thing and switch to OX slim pips or long pips on your backhand
