Treated pips refers to treating just the pips such as "painring" usually the top of pips or sometimes the side of pips with epoxy or such chemicals.
This may also harden or solidify the pips.
The end result is that the rubber becomes more unpredictable & disruptive but lot of players confuse this increased disruption to increased spin reversal , which is a myth. In fact , if any the spin may be reduced.
Cured pips refers to soaking the entire rubber sheet in some chemical suach kerosene.
This expands the entire sheet, both the rubber base as well as the pips.
This makes the pips brittle & more flexible possible increased spin reversal due to larger pips as well as more flexibility.
But the pips will break off after even after using for few hours or few sessions.
