Hello Friends,
I have started reading this book and I quote kinda hit me hard. "If you couldn't write a book about your game, either you don't know your game, or you have no game."
That made me wonder what is my game? I think an all round style where I do anything and everything possible to put the ball back on the other side of the table (chop, block, lob, loop (not that good), backhand drive, backhand flick). As per the skills, I cannot still do lot of them good but I can do many of them not so good.
Is that my game? Am I thinking it right?
Any inputs and insights are appreciated.
One of my current tournament video to provide more context
Your video clearly points out the fat that you do not have what it takes to be able to use spinny inverted on your backhand.
You do not belong with Olympic top spin only table tennis. I know it may be hard truth to accept.
You need to understand the difference between
(click link >) Top spin only Olympic table tennis and all spin diversity table tennis
Please also read

You need to switch to
(click link >) actual OX long flex pips on backhand
Wish you all the best.

coolchap , what is the matter with you ? Don't you know the author of this book , Rev. Larry Hodges is the most infamous in table tennis history as the extreme
robotNazi .
he may have some good points in his book but keep in mind that he is directly or indirectly behinds some of the most oppressive rule changes against pips players for over 40 years.
Unless you know all this already and one of his cult groupies and this was just a shameless plug for his book

coolchap , I would recommending a smart blede such as from Hallmark or Dr.Neubauer or stuff like Yinhe T9 Pro
and get an
actual long flex pips like
C801 for your backhand.
You seem to be ok with the spinny inverted you are using on your forehand

Hey OP- I just want to add, that since you're only rated around 1100 USATT, you're still developing your playing style. I wouldn't worry too much about being able to "describe" your "game" yet. Keep working on your basic techniques and consistency. As you advance your level, you might find your game or style changes as you figure out what you are truly good at.
Developing basic consistency & technique to play in which domain ? Top spin only Olympic table tennis or all spins diversity table tennis ?
What
robotNazis like Jslick89 do not want you to understand is this fact > you could waste your life trying develop your backhand using the wrong rubber type , in your case using spinny inverted on your backhand. But you are not backhand looping material. No shame in that 90% TT players are not.
RobotNazis like Jslick89 do NOT want you (and other beginners) to start in the sport with the right rubber for all spins table tennis. They just want you to play top spin only Olympic table tennis.
You decide.
