I'm probably around 1700-1800 *in my area* because in California I would not be close to that rating since the level of play there is much higher.
LOL
Can you statistically & mathematically prove that prove that ?
I mean your claim that the level of play there is much higher in California

Even if true , to me 1700 in Montana has to be same as 1700 Falkenberg
If not, there is a problem with ratings processing

David Marcus ( I believe he is a PhD at MIT and on faculty at MIT if am not mistaken) at Ratings Central uses measures of Standard Deviation in his rating but I am not sure what the geographic component , if any in that measure

Hey ,
Since you are estimating your rating , I assume you have not played in a USATT tournament yet.
If that is the case, I would like to inform you that USATT has a fantastic fake ratings program for first time players
You can get a rating well over 2000 without winning a single match

The details are here in this topic below

On the flip side , USATT has another scheme called (fake) rankings list.
In this method , the more you play , the higher your ranking
If I am not mistaken , you can keep playing and losing and still move up in rankings
Below is a link to discussion topic

So whatever way you want to fake it , USATT has a scheme for you for getting your status symbol marker
