When TTFI in India was in trouble a few years ago, I am told the TTFI management was kicked out by the Indian NOC and managed by an independent committee until a new board of TTFI was elected.
But in the case of IOC , ITTF has allowed Petra sorling to continue as ITTF president due to a loophole in ITTF byelaws or IOC byelaws
There does not seem to be a process when the election of ITTF presidency is disputed and being processed in the courts.
Because few people seem to know that Khalil Mohannadi has appealed the results of the election of ITTF president 2025-2029 to CAS on September 2025 .

One would tend to think that an independent panel should have been appointed to oversee the affairs of the ITTF until this dispute is resolved because the verdict is still pending at CAS
Estimates say the the verdict may not come until around April 2026
Which means that Ms. Petra Sorling would have enjoyed almost a free year as strongwoman of the ITTF due to a procedural loophole in IOC & ITTF byelaws.
I realize it is going to be difficult to overturn the results but IMO the right ethical thing for Petra Sorling to have done is to have appointed an independent panel in May 2025 and stepped down until the issue has been resolved at CAS
