But my personal argument is that players and pros way better than me use inner fibre blades and even all woods.
This is one of the common myths among amateurs > Any blade or rubber that works for a pro should also work equally well for a lower level amateur.
Of course this is how the manufacturers prey upon the vain and the clueless

Which would you personally pick over the other and why?
Dumb blades with either inner composite or outer composite will work for a pro .
But for some pros it may not be the best choice but they may not even know it.
Pros are successful not because ALL pros use the best equipment to match their style and equipment
But they "seem" successful despite their bad rubber / blade choices because of their superior talent
But that in no way implies they are using the best equipment for their style

Anyway for for almost amateurs , inner composite is a bad choice.
This is because almost all amateurs need smart blades with different layer compositions for backhand from forehand.
They need an actual non-ITTF long pips on backhand.
The backhand side should be softer layers and absolutely no composite layers inner or outer
On the forehand side there are few options

Players who (can) loop on the forehand need a soft outer composite such as a thin layer of ALC or SALC or Kevlar or such
Players who engage in flat hitting style on forehand need a harder outer carbon or composite such as ZLC or SZLC
Players who never learned to loop in their youth or cannot or can no longer loop due to health limitations can also use the same the second option in most cases.
If a player decides to use high friction type rubber with thicker sponge on forehand with which they can even fake loop or even lob , then they would want a frictionless type actual non-ITTF long pips ITTF slim pips on backhand. Even in this case you want a softer no composite backhand side to enhance the disruption with your FLP

In all cases the composite (outer) layer side must have maximum isolation from the soft backhand side. This is the tricky part of bad design.
You probably need a thick balsa coreor such to maximize isolation of BH & FH sides.

Obviously this topic is in this section because the correct question would have been "Outer composite or inner composite"
