Is there a rule that limits on how long a table tennis match can be ?
Just curious

Best 3 out of 5 match > Limit about 58 minutes
Best 4 out of 7 match > Limit about 78 minutes

You do the math

But theoretically since there is no sudden death & you have to win by 2 points , a match could go on forever like in some tennis tournaments (like Wimbledon & French Open till 2022 but no more ) where the final set is win by 2 games & no tie breaker

Old 21 point games before September 1, 2001
Best 2 out of 3 games > Limit somewhere between about 45 & 55 minutes
Best 3 out of 5 games > Limit somewhere between about 75 & 85 minutes
