you can be a very good player with any kind of blade & rubbers, what really matters are your skills & strategy.
Very true
We all should just go back to hard bat or just use 1.5 mm unboosted spinny inverted all round rubber both sides and use the same exact blade
Afterall aren't all humans created equal?

I'm tolerant so I like diversity.

You may be.
But most of the playing population cannot tolerate pips and anti rubbers
Yet the undemocratic ITTF refuses to ban pips & anti
With all due respect diversity is not all relevant to this discussion.
You suggested that anyone and everyone can play equally well with any rubber (and both on forehand and backhand equally) since only strategy , skill and technique are the ONLY parameters that matter
If this is the case then all of us can either decide to play sandpaper only or hardbat only or spinny inverted only or long pips only on both backhand and forehand using same blades
All this controversy about various rubbers and 100s of rules and regulations go away and we all live and play in peace and harmony
