Functional mode vs social mode of usage (of table tennis rubbers) for amateur players.

Most amateur players do not have a clue (or knwo but afraid of social repercussions) about how a tabletennis rubber can be used either as a highly functional rubber or as a purely social (dysfunctionla) rubber depending on mode of usage on weakside (usually backhand for most) or strongside (usually forehand for most)

It is vitally important that an amateur (player understand this not so obvious but critically important difference.
Of course all this applies to a competitive amateur player & not a recerational palyer or most por players.
