Note :- ITTF Directory says "Website not available” for websites of National Associations of most countries. it is pathetic on the part of ITTF not to have a fully functional or at least a basic National Association website ( & preferably a Facebook page) as mandatory

Re: Serve controversy Olufunke Oshonaike - 2023 Africa Championships Women's doubles

Women's doubles finals
Controversy at 7-6 in the 5th with Olufunke Oshonaike serving
The ball hit the wrong side on server's side & it was clearly vissible on video slow motion replay
First Olufunke Oshonaike argued thinking she was faulted for improper toss.
The umpire then explained Olufunke Oshonaike's serve hit the wrong half on her side'
Then Olufunke Oshonaike claimed she has to be warned first.
Umpire does not have to warn if the serve is clearly fault
Also ball being on wrong half does not relate to service motion errors.
Umpire MAY warn for service motion errors but not mandatory if serve motion is clearly wrong
Umpire can give one warning at their discretion but not mandatory .
But Olufunke Oshonaike made a big scene

I am not sure if Olufunke Oshonaike should have been yellow & then red carded and Sara & her partner be awarded a penalty point.
If it had been , the match result may have been different (I am not saying for sure but could since it was deuce in the fifth)

I felt bad for the umpire. He was very good at catching the wrong half side
I think Olufunke Oshonaike should send the umpire & her opponents an apology email or something.

Once you leave your house, you are being watched & recorded everywhere with video cameras
This includes your work place.
In fact even in someone else's private house you may be being video taped in public areas like living room or kitchen legally ?
