Yes it is a great idea. Since you & twiddler keep also pushing for smooth rubber only events as well.StillTT wrote: on Saturday October 05, 2024 at 3:32pm
Adding mandatory hardbat events in each usatt sanctioned tournament (e.g for each event not hardbat, add the hardbat equivalent) is one way to catch up, undoubtedly the least expensive to enforce.
You (stillTT) , twiddler, Rev.. Larry Hodges & few of Marty Reisman's cult groupies can travel to all these tournaments & enjoy yourselves.
BTW since you & twiddler will have also mandatory smooth rubber only events using dumb rackets, don't you think it will better and also fair i all othe rmain event be limited to only players using smart rackets (One side either spinny inverted or wide pips and the other side only slim pips.............since twiddler would obviously want anti to be in the smooth rubber event sonly anyway LOL)
This way you can cancel Rule 2.4.7 for smooth rubber events & all players can spein glue & boost as they wish like crazy including VOC glues. They should also increase the maximum allowed total rubber thickness from the current 4.05 mm to 5/0 mm (with zero chemical testing) so that sport can be speeded up further with more third ball attacks so that we can ensure that there will be no spectators for these events.
This way we can make the regular events to have a fair & level playing field to truly promote all playing styles by
1. Reduce the maximum allowed rubber thickness from 4.05 mm to 3.5 mm (with strict enforcement of Rule 2.47 at all levels) to slow the sport done for spectators with more longer rallies. This way players can kill themselves with illegal VOC-filled chemicals since there will be no spectators.
2. Increase the maximum allowed pip length from 2.00 mm to 2.50 mm, repeal the pip density regulation of 2004 and increase the maximum allowed AR (Aspect Ration) from current 1.1. to 1,5, All these measures would back few choppers who were banned in 1998 and further exterminated thereafter.
3. Repeal the Frictionless Pips Ban of 2008 at least for Master's ^ Para events (Swedish Association, Waldner & Rev. Larry Hodges all wanted to do this ban repealed for all events)
What do you say Twiddler & StillTT ??
