Highly technical & extremely controversial topics. Not for the faint of heart

This is in no way unique to this tournament only.
Lots of tournaments make ths mistake

This is nize gym for sure

Two problems with this setup of tables
1. They are equally spaced
2. They are not individually barriered

Highest level events need more room & also must be individually barriered on all 3 side with sapce in between on all 4 sides for spectators
These are showcase tables

Lowet events can be closer but also can get away without barriers but not recomended due to safety issues

In this case if you look at the schedule, all events are not at teh same time.
So I do not see why you need to put out 20 tables this way.

Maybe they changed the configuration later for Open Singles I do not know

Vistara is a great place.
But tables are too close for sure even for lower levels
Why did they have to setup 20 tables ?
I am just curious
