You are supposed to know the answer as a moderator. But are just passing the buck to Assisitant AdminNextLevel wrote: Tuesday 02/18/2025 at 9:09 AM in ITTF Worship forum called MyTanleTennis.net
It's a good question. Hopefully stilltt will provide a response.
OMG This is even worse . The asst.Admin is passing the buck to AdminStillTT wrote: 02/18/2025 at 11:32 AM in ITTF Worship forum called MyTanleTennis.net
that's an alexi question. I am in Frnce until monday but i'll find time to email him bout it. it's a good idea.
I almost cleaned this thread and the OP lol, a good thing I saw NL.
This was already explained to OOAk Forum Owner (& MyTableTEnnis.net moderator) HaggisV many times as to how to fix this issue. He or some other vindictive moderator like Keyshot in OOAK forum just deleted my post.
I even explained to Haggisv as to how he can change the new subscriber confirmation question. He took my advice & changed the confirmation question but never even thanked me .But actually deleted my post LOL
Anyway WebWiz Forums , the software that runs MyTableTennis has identical methods to block spammers from posting. In fact MyTAbleTEnnis.net already has a setup to block new spammer posters to limit new poster permissions. All you need is to extend the permissions to prevent new posters from directly posting immediately , like I am doing now as a new poster.
This is such a simple thing to do . But both Alex’s don’t seem to have a clue.
Anyway below is the post I made in OOAK Forum, that was deleted by that forums.
I try to be helpful but all I get is get punished vindictively.
Oh well
The following was posted in OOAK Forum but was deleted by a moderator

I have explained this to you many times but you either don’t understand or just ignore what I am saying.
There is no need to block new registrations.
It is very easy to block spam posts in phpBB forums
All you need to do is cerate 2 member groups
One for established members. You can set permissions so that their postings will appear immediately on the forum without getting blocked
You will create a new group for newly registered users. Their permissions can be set so that their post will not show up on the forum until a moderator approves them.
Once you are confident that a new poster is not a spammer, you can move them to the approved posters group.
It is so simple.
It Is not like OOAk forum or MyTAbleTennis.net forums get 1000s of posts a day . You get at most 5 posts a day LOL
You can easily monitor each post before allowing it to show up on the forum.
