Is this REAL long pips rubber Yinhe Young really ITTF approved ?
Take a look at the specifications
ITTF LARC shows this as an approved rubber with an approval code of 49-016
Click on link for Ali Express below
Yinhe Young rubber
The product description says as follows
Brand: Yinhe
Model: Young StandardRubber
Type: Long PimplesGranule
Width: 1.5mm±Granule
Height: 2.1mm/2.5mm
Thickness: OX (without a sponge)
Category: Solidified / non-solidified
Characteristics of solidifiedSolidified long pimples rubber exhibits reduced friction compared to its non-solidified counterpart. This reduction in friction results in enhanced blocking capabilities, with the ability to generate a stronger reverse spin and a noticeable sinking effect when returning a top spin ball. Consequently, it becomes challenging for opponents to execute a second loop. The rubber imparts a flat and floating trajectory while maintaining high attacking speed. However, it's worth noting that solidified rubber demands a higher level of control and introduces an element of unpredictability, making it a unique and challenging choice for players seeking to disrupt their opponents' strategies.Characteristics of non-solidified

Re: Is this REAL long pips rubber Yinhe Young really ITTF approved ?
Even if it was approved, the ITTF pip length cannot exceed 2.05 mm (was 2.00 mm before 2024)
Look like this rubber was approved more than 5 or so years or more ago.
Of course you are free to use either the 2.1 mm version or the 2.5 mm in non ITTF events

Re: Is this REAL long pips rubber Yinhe Young really ITTF approved ?
Please be aware of the differences between REAL long pips & ITTF's FAKE long pips
The rubbers listed on ITTF LARC are fake or social long pips.
Foe a rubber to qualify as REAL long pips in the 40+ plastic ball ONLY era, for a level & fair playing field and also for better presentation to spectators , it must meet one or more of following requirements
1. The pip length (or heigh) must be over the ITTF max limit of 2.05 mm (preferably at least 2.5 mm but not over 3.0 mm)
2. The pip aspect ratio must definitely exceed the ITTF maximum limit of 1.1 (ideal value is 1.5 .......this is adjusted based on the pre 1998 ITTF limit of 1.3 and corrected for 7 more rule changes after 1998 to oppress defensive players , both blockers & choppers)
3. The pip density must be minimum as stated before the 2004 pip density reduction rule (this is for chopping long pips only for more back spin . This does not apply to blocking long pips ,which can have lower pip density)
4. For a long pips to qualify as blocker long pips it must have pip friction as from before the 2008 ban on frictionless long pips. But to qualify as a choppers' long pips , the pip tops must be quite rough and not smooth as for frictionless long pips. There is a myth among players frictionless long pips give more reversal & more back spin. The spin reversal of most popular rubbers like Tibhar Dtec OX does not come from it being most frictionless *after 2008 value) , it comes from other pip design parameters such as pip flexibility or pip material type etc. but NOT from its being frictionless. But Dtec seems to be most popular because it is most disruptive not because it gives most spin reversal or spin generation such as with Feint Long 2 or 3 or to some extent with Victas Curl P1v.........though these rubbers are pure garbage & useless for a chopper in the 40+ plastic ball era........ITTF wants clueless newbie wannabe choppers to believes that these are useful chopping rubbers ......which is the biggest joke & the robotNazis who control the ITTF are probably laughing their behinds off as to how well they can manipulate and control and brainwash the clueless defenders, especially the choppers) .

Re: Is this REAL long pips rubber Yinhe Young really ITTF approved ?
Height 2.1 mm Width 1.5 mm gives Aspect ratio of 1.4
Height 2.5 mm Width 1.5 mm gives Aspect ratio of 1.67
Even the 2.1 mm version is better than the pre 1998 versions with 1.3 mm MAX before ITTF deopped it to max limit of 1.1 in 1998
ITTF cabbit do anything if someone uses even the 2.5 mm version since it i sITTF approved with approval code of 49-016

Received the Yinhe Young Red OX 2.1 with friction few days ago & today arrived the blade The Wall Carbon and glued the long pips, surely this week I will try and tell here how it goes vs the same blade with Reach C801.

Why did you not order the 2.5 mm version ?merlin el mago wrote: ↑February 5th, 2025, 11:03 am Received the Yinhe Young Red OX 2.1 with friction few days ago & today arrived the blade The Wall Carbon and glued the long pips, surely this week I will try and tell here how it goes vs the same blade with Reach C801.
If it has the ITTF logo, then you can use it in ITTF events right ?
How would the umpire know if it is 2.1 or 2.5 ?

For the rubbers with 1.4 Aspect Ratio , they have both frictioned & frictionless versions.merlin el mago wrote: ↑February 14th, 2025, 9:24 am I'm waiting answer for the seller because first to buy I want to know if are frictionless or with friction.
The verison with Aspect Ratio is not treated . So I assume it would less frictionless.
I ordered a sheet of this to test to see if it is NOT frictionless & so good for a chopper.
I will post here after I test it.
Did you hear from them ?
