Das deutsche TTR ist ein seit langem etabliertes Tischtennis-Wertungssystem.

Könnte sich die ITTF nicht einen anderen Namen ausdenken, um nicht alle zu verwirren?

I know . Of all names , they have to go and choose TTR.

They have

Cricket > DRS (Decision Review System)
Football > VAR (Video Assistant Referee)
Baseball / Basketball > IRR (Instant Replay Reviews)

I would go with DRS but anything is better tha TTR , mostly because of the conflict as you point out
