Looking for dampening sponge

From a practical standpoint dampening spong is useless.
Assuming it is understood that it makes no sense at all for spinny inverted or wide pips
Some players wanted to make dampening sponge for anti.
It is OK if you but a rubber that already comes with a dampening sponge
But it is quite messy trying to remove an existing smooth rubber of any type & trying to stick it to a sponge.
It would be hard to make it right.
Also from what I understand ITTF is going to ban the us eof sponges in this manner starting in 2026
As far a long pips or slim (flex) pips go it absolutely make no sense at all because you can achieve the same dampening effect (with better disruption as well) using an OX long pips or slim (flex) pips on a smart blade with a dampening wood composition on the pips side.
Your chop blocks would far more lethal than with anti because anti is is mandated by rule to have a sponge under any type of smooth rubber , spinny inverted or anti. This adds to the weight of the blade & your hand is not moving down as fast in chop block compared to with using an OX pips. Also the control with OX pips and dynamic range is far superior to anti.
Then why do people still use anti ? They are lazy & do not want to learn using long (flex) pips or slim (flex) pips.
The only advantage with anti is that there is no minimum friction limit for anti rubbers. Pips rubbers have a minimum required friction limit (COF= Coefficient of friction) of 0.5.
ITTF is working on setting this friction limit for antis as well.
Once they do, all antis will be like unboosted Tenergy in the hands of an amateur
