Almost child abuse Re : Looking for a coach for an advanced chopper

This forum explores & explains how choppers are the most ignorant fools of tabletennis & how they are TOTALLY clueless about the history of the sport in the context of chopping blades & rubbers & how choppers are so spineless with zero self-respect or self-esteem. WHy they have no clue about 14 rule changes by ITTF since 1977 to limit them

Hi all,
I am looking for a coach for my 10-year old daughter, who is a chopper/attack, with short pips on BH and inverted on FH. She is around 1400 level.
We live in Queens, NY and travel to NJ over the weekends.
We would prefer a coach who plays the same rubbers him/herself.
Any recommendation is appreciated.
Subjecting a child to (click on link)wide pips on backhand borders almost child abuse

The only other worse thing I can think of is having children spein glue or boost

It makes me sick to my stomach when coaches allow children to use wide (stiff) pips on the backhand.
Wide pips is the absolute best rubber forehand (at least theoretically especially for shakehand for the most talented such as Johnny Huang, Mattias Falck etc).

Unfortunately wide (stiff) pips is the absolute worst rubber for backhand most especially a shakehander.
This is the worst for choppers but also very bad for others as well such as for at the table players such as blockers etc

Remember that as far as weakside pips (& back spin & versatility& overall effectiveness) goes
chickens (short pips) can fly a little, doves (medium pips) can fly a little higher and bar-headed geese (social slim (flex) pips on (click link) ITTF LARC ) can fly much higher but Ruppell’s vulture (High Aspect Ratio actual non-ITTF-Long(flex) Pips) can soar the highest

Most of these wannabe choppers using wide (stiff) pips do not have the basic understanding of the operational mechanics of wide (stiff) pips as compared to ITTF LARC slim (flex) pips and non-ITTF actual long (flex) pips .
Because they are cleverly brainwashed by the ITTF and its biased coaches to stay away from actual (flex) long pips.
Of course manufacturers use this as a great marketing gimmick to sell wide (stiff) pips designed to act partially like slim (flex) pips

Don't be a (click link) honorary looper

Worse, don't turn your child into one.

Not quite true. You can make good chops with wide pimples, they are just very difficult to use for this
Your trend is becoming that you contradict yourselves.

the topsheet needs to have significant grip.
Another contradiction.
You overlook the simple reason why the correct name for wide(stiff) pips is NOT short pips. The pips are stiff & traditionally shorter but since the maximum allowed pip length for both slim(flex) pips & and wide(stiff) pips is the same (was 2.00 mm before 2024 and 2.05 mm after 2024), some manufacturers have been exploiting this loophole to design wide)stiff) pips to behave like slim(flex) pips , by using longer length pips & also making them more flexible.

You seem to understand some these concepts with an open mind but are also getting brainwashed by the manufacturers.
You overlook two simple concepts >
1. Manufacturers usually design rubbers for the pros and KNOW amateurs are stupid enough to use any rubber if you just say a top pro uses it.
2. The pros in most cases are NOT using the commercial version of the rubber sold to amateur schmucks. Pros get highly customized versions of the same rubber & in some who knows, it may not even be the same brand name rubber or blade but they may may adding a wrong logo

But an average amateur is NOT Satoshi Aida or Norio Takashima or Ding Song or Hou Yingchao or Honoka Hashimoto or Han Ying or Mima Ito etc.
And they never will be with very few exceptions , who could but the probability is just as low as someone becoming a shakehand wide(stiff) pips world champion or even a top 10 like Johnny Huang or even Wang Tao

These pros win NOT because of their choice of rubbers but they rather win DESPITE their wrong choices of rubber & blades.
Ding Yaping herself hinted as to why Mima Ito is a failure. (They both look very similar in build but Deng Yaping was one of the early first players to choose slim (flex) pips .........there were a few Chinese women long pippers in mid 1970's before actual long)flex) pips were promptly banned in 1977) .

It is the same thing with ALL PRO Indian women using dumb blade (most of them use Butterfly Viscaria..........which is great for forehand but not at all for slim (flex) pips backhand)
And the billions of Indian amateur women blindly follow what Manika does & use the exact rubber & blade.
Tibhar Grass Dtec.
Manika is making Tibhar filthy rich but she is not even sponsored by Tibhar.
If I were Neha, Manicka or Sreeja or Ayhika I would ask these others to join me in starting my own company manufacturing actual non-ITTF long pips, anti rubbers and smart blades . But I guess it is quite hard to do it if you still playing but I think Neha can do it.

There is no contradiction, it is simply more correct to replace "can fly a little" with "sometimes they can fly high and then crash."
HA HA Good one :D

Yes I am like Rev. Larry Hodges.
I NEVER make mistakes. I thought I once did but I was mistaken
And the Golden Rule of Rev. Larry Hodges is NEVER EVER EVER apologize even if you make a mistake. Because it is a sign of weakness

OK all joking aside I am not saying I never made mistakes in the past. I have had more than share
Heck I readily admit I was brainwashed by the ITTF and its coaches (when I was an active player) not once but four times in the last 50 years
I started my recovery only last year. Who knows maybe ITTF is still brainwashing & I do not even know it LOL
Should not come as a surprise given my past history.

And I will continue to make more mistakes in the future.
But I will apologize readily if you prove me wrong
