If you are a newbie to the sport, this is the most important fact you must understand about table tennis.
Only about 10% of players can become true two winged loopers. It is not your fault or anyone else's fault. It is just the natural human condition of biomechanics of the backhand in all racket sports. Forehand is the dominant stronger side and backhand is the weaker side.
Tennis has recognized and acknowledged this 50 years ago & moved on to two handed backhand. Even some new sports like pickleball is having more and more players moving to two handed backhand.
But ITTF and its coaches does not want you to know this because they do not want more players using rackets other than those with spinny inverted rubbers both sides though only about 10% players (pro or amteur) will be truly successful. So 90% of players who use such rackets are playing for the convenience of 10% of the players.
There will be incessant relentless brainwashing by the ITF and its coaches and lots of players that
1. Top spin table tennis is the one and only NORMAL way to play table tennis. All spins table tennis is for inferior athletes.
2. You should only play with a racket that has so called "regular" rubber or spinny inverted rubber. Do not use other junk rubbers and look stupid
There had been 100s and 100s of players who are either clueless or succumb to intense peer pressure and continue to suffer using double inverted rackets for years and years. Some players are in denial waste their whole life away trying to forcing the issue and trying t become two winged loopers.
I was the lucky one though I did waste first 10 years of my under ITTF's brainwashing spell. I am one of the the lucky ones though 10 years of your prime youth is still quite long.
Don't make the mistake I made. Dump top spin only table tennis using (click link >) dumb rackets & start enjoying all spins table tennis using
(click link >) smart rackets
BTW there is also no rule that says you still you cannot twiddle and loop using spinny inverted from your backhand or chop using long pips from your forehand. It is actually double the fun
Spinny inverted is NOT a backhand rubber. And 90% of you will NEVER be 2 winged loopers

There are always exceptions and the only possible exception is (click link >) RAG or HAG penhold or Asian grip players
These players can use spinny inverted on the backhand because the advantages outweigh the disadvantages
But still even these players should probably be using wide stiff pips on the forehand to maximize the advantages of this grip as demonstrated by its pioneer Liu Guoliang.

BTW simply because 90% of you cannot loop consistently and powerfully on you backhand does not mean your backhand is useless.
Most player will have other strengths such as the ability to consistently block or chop block or flat hit from close to the table or chopping away from the table.
You just need to identify your other natural strength of your backhand other than looping and improve on it, rather than forcing the issue trying to be a to winged looper because of incessant peer pressure and brainwashing.

But players are repeatedly told over and over and over by coaches and other players that everyone should use a so called "regular" racket and develop their "technique" for looping on the backhand .
I have heard this story repeated 1000s and 1000s of times
