Why ?
The length of this rubber is near perfect 2.6 mm
The pip tops are rough & perfect for an away from the table chopper
But the huge problem is the pip width (2.5 mm)
Which gives an Aspect Ratio of 2.6. divided by 2.5 = 1.04
It is horrible. Even the useless ITTF LARC slim pips have a maximum allowed aspect ratio of 1.1
And before 1998 the Aspect Ratio was 1.3

Re: Bad long pips rubber - Do not buy
This rubber could be a great chopper rubber if the Aspect Ratio was 1.5 , which means the pip width cannot exceed 2.6 mm divided by 1.5 = 1.73 mm
But this Feilong has a pip width of 2.5 mm which is very bad
Nice name though > FeiLong > REALLY ?

Thanks for this interesting information .----- wrote: ↑November 22nd, 2025, 8:54 pmIn reality, it's not that bad. It still outperforms larc pimples, because in addition to the aspect ratio, there's another rubber parameter—the pimple size. Even though the aspect ratio is lower, the contact area is still higher, and therefore the amount of backspin is higher, although not as much as on Magic 77 and C801.Stofoulos wrote: ↑November 22nd, 2025, 1:53 pm https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256808918193035.html

But as you yourself said , it just is not as good as Magix 77 or C801 , which I agree.
If they released a version of Magic 77 with higher pip density & rougher pip tops, that would be the absolute best chopper rubber for the 40+ plastic ball ONLY era

Re: Bad long pips rubber - Do not buy
I’ve been using this rubber for a while now and find it to be the best long pip I’ve ever tried reversal is great, disturbance and wobble is amazing, placement and control I’ve found to be outstanding on my firewall plus blade”so far I’ve not come across an lp approved or otherwise that comes close to this, I tried victory 688d with the huge gap between pips which is also very good but not durable at all with many pips quickly breaking off. if there are better I would certainly like to try them any recommendations very welcome I notice c801 and magic 77 seems to be highly regarded also reach monster.

Sorry I had to laugh hard because this sounds like a typical run of the mill marketing pitch for an omnipotent table tennis rubberMonolith1971 wrote: ↑November 24th, 2025, 4:12 am I’ve been using this rubber for a while now and find it to be the best long pip I’ve ever tried reversal is great, disturbance and wobble is amazing, placement and control I’ve found to be outstanding
Great reversal and great control from the same rubber ? Seriously ?
You noticed correct. I suggest you try & perform a proper Click link > comparison testMonolith1971 wrote: ↑November 24th, 2025, 4:12 am I notice c801 and magic 77 seems to be highly regarded also reach monster.

Re: Bad long pips rubber - Do not buy
Only my opinion on these pips I personally found them very good for control, reversal, wobble etc and to date I don’t think I’ve had better and I’ve tried many in my time, only downside I’ve found is for some strange reason when I put them on with gluesheet the pips seemed to shrink slowly in on itself over a course of a couple of weeks leaving a good quarter inch gap round the whole edge of the blade happened several times maybe something to do with cheap glue sheets? As when I used glue it was fine , just unfortunate they are not ittf approved but oh well.

Are you an away from the table chopper or at the table blocker ?Monolith1971 wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2026, 12:32 am Only my opinion on these pips I personally found them very good for control, reversal, wobble etc and to date I don’t think I’ve had better and I’ve tried many in my time, only downside I’ve found is for some strange reason when I put them on with gluesheet the pips seemed to shrink slowly in on itself over a course of a couple of weeks leaving a good quarter inch gap round the whole edge of the blade happened several times maybe something to do with cheap glue sheets? What other pips did you compare to ?
How did you perform the comparison test
I definitely would not buy or recommend a rubber with such poor Aspect Ratio in the 40+ plastic ball only era
Sorry
As far as glue sheets , may be you should not use glue sheets then.
Just use glue , let it dry and stick it.
II never has a problem with shrinkage especially if you let it dry.

Re: Bad long pips rubber - Do not buy
Huh ?
So a wider pip will give more back spin ? SERIOUSLY ?
Isn't the primary controversy is about pips aspect ratio ?
Meaning you want a slimmer pip for the same height for more back spin ?
Unless the spin is coming from pips having rough pip tops (with tiny pips on top each pip) & sides as well as from higher pip density & more flexible pips ?
So if the pips are rough it disqualifies it for a blocker who want more of frictionless top like before 2008
And the low aspect ratio disqualifies it for any chopper or chop-blocker
Thank you

Re: Bad long pips rubber - Do not buy
Yes as you say there are probably better it’s just that for me personally I have found these to be the best all round the ones I have the tips feel almost smooth or close to frictionless pips seem to pair perfectly with my firewall plus blade I seem to be able to place the ball pretty much where I want to with these pips.
I’m no long pips expert just my opinion I’ve tried the pips I have listed below recently but still gone back to these
(Xvt monster)
(Spd2008)
Reach-801)
(Kokutaku Mr Huang?
(Victory 688d
