It is a good thing Sabina Winter won the European Championships as it will encourage other players to take up anti-spin also as a viable setup for competitions. Long pipe are fairly common nowadays but antispin players are not that many.
That is not European Championships . It was Europe Top 16 in Montreux, Switzerland

Nevertheless it is a good win with what is essentially a dead piece of rubber
That is because she also has a great forehand

Yes anti spin rubbers may seem effective because they have no minimum required limit on COF (Coefficient of friction).
All pips rubbers have a minimum ITTF mandated limit of 0.5 set in 2008 with the Frictionless Pips Ban set by Scholer to screw Dr.Neubauer ......... again (after 2004) .......... and again (after 1998)
(click link >) 14 rule and regulation changes since 1977 by the ITTF to severely limit the choppers in the current 40+ mm plastic ball only era

If Sabine Winter used actual long pips with a smart blade she will be even better

ITTF and his non sense rules, why frictionless antis are allowed & frictionless long pips not? Also why made a rule that after ITTF can enforce like oil booster? I think ITTF rules not make sense without enforcement so the rules aren't for everybody the same....

Because Dr.Neubauer was stealing business away from Scholer ?
Personal battles between them ?

Scholer , as then member of the ITTF equipment committee had the full power to target & ban all best selling Dr.Neubauer's slim pips rubbers in 2008

ITTF has or never had any intention of enforcing the spein glue & booster rules as intended.
Those rules were made just to fool the IOC into thinking that ITTF cares about health of players and also about a fair & level playing field

ITTF would actually love to ban anti and all pips but they are very smart in not doing so
Because they do not want anti & pips players to start a rival association and demand IOC that all spins diversity table tennis be entered as a separate sport from ITTF's top spin only booster centric table tennis

ITTF learned its lessons all too well in 1995 when they initially banned spein glues but had to repeal it within months because Rev. Larry Hodges (& Lee Edwards) & European players threatened to form a separate association

Yes, both personal & business.

ITTF or Scholer can't ban a brand but can ban some kind of pips, antis & inverted...

I don't think ITTF learned the lesson because still ban for friction less long pips, high aspect-ratio, etc.

That is not what I meant when I said ITTF learned its lesson. What I meant was that ITTF learned its lesson on how not to go against the robotNazis. I did not mean to imply that they learned as to how to be decent & work on diversity & a level playing field. That is or never was ITTF’s intent.
I meant ITTF has learned how to keep the pips & anti players under their total control and limit their capabilities while singing the diversity & inclusion song at the same time. The (click link >) robotNazis controlled ITTF is like a psychopath with remorse or empathy or conscience. They don’t care about pips or anti. They would love to ban them but they cannot because they need 75% votes at the AGM. But they are so clever and even if ITTF can ITTF won't do it, because they know all too well that the pips / anti players will start a new rival association & demand the Olympics a separate entry as real all spins diversity table tennis. This is what I meant when I said ITTF learned this lesson all too well in in 1995 when they tried to ban spein glues .
I never meant to even remotely imply that ITTF learned its lesson not to abuse the pips / anti players. That torture will slowly continue.

Really is a bad situation for all long pips players including me, I arrived to think is better to focus in training & playing a lot to improve level because unfortunately ITTF will not change...
