If you are an away from the table chopper or lobber , you have both in and out movements as well as lateral movements (lft to right) at higher speeds.
So I would tend to think you want the lightest possible shoe that also has good support
I have seen some players even use sprinting type shoes but for distance runners like Nike Waffle Racer.
Fully flexible shoes such as for sprinting (indoor with rubber sole and rubber spike plates but of course you won't be using the spikes LOL) are probably the lightest but they are designed for straightforward movement & dangerous for lateral movements and risk of ankle twists. But if you wear a tight ankle guard inside you may be ok.

Even wrestling shoes with added inner soles may work
Some badminton shoes may also work.

On the other hand if you play close to the table you can go with heavier shoes like hi top basketball shoes which also protect your ankles

Tennis or volleyball shoes are probably heavier for table tennis but they provide excellent support
