Sabine Winter - modified American grip player

I heard that Sabine Winter is now using a modified American grip and has gotten better because of it
Can you explain what it is and how it works

She occasionally seems to rotates her wrist to use her forehand spinny rubber on the backhand side to block with inverted
I am not so sure if you can classify this as American grip (Seemiller / Boggan / Shapiro)
