Differences between Hardbat and Sponge domain tabletennis

Has anyone else noticed that the TableTennis community still carries the mentality of hardbat in the sponge domain ere after 70 years (2022) after the introduction of sponge in 1952

Do these players even understand the key difference between hardbat domain play vs sponge era play ?.

It has been 70 years since the coronation of sponge .
Hardbat was of course great then but Isn't it time to wake up to reality please ?
