I was wondering if table tennis is an easy sort to learn ?

Unfortunately , no it is not.
Most North Americans confuse basement ping pong with the Olympics posrt of table tennis.
Table tennis is one of the most complex individual spoirt there is, due to
1. equipment (rackets used) high technology space age materials
2. need to cerate & solve complex spins at highest speeds of any sport in a relatively small area.
