Can I get into long pips and/or anti spin rubbers right away as a beginner?
Absolutely Yes
The best racket for a beginner is spinny inverted rubber on one side & an OX (no sponge) long pips on the other side.

However you will run into lots of players & coaches who had been brainwashed by the (click link >) robotNazis controlled ITTF, into thinking that the best racket for a beginner is double spinny inverted (both forehand & backhand)

There may be some exceptions to this in some cases. In such cases the OX long pips still stays but one may want to use anti spin or wide pips on the other side. But it is not relevant here

You need to start with (click link >) all spins diversity real table tennis FIRST and NOT in Top spin only ant-diversity Olympic fake table tennis.

You can always twiddle your racket & test if you are one of those few small percentage of players , who can execute consistently powerful loops from your backhand. But the probability of that is less than 10% (at best 20%).

But the robotNAzis controlled ITTf want everyone to play top spin only Olympic anti diversity table tennis ad not all all spins diversity real tabletennis
