Below is a quote from ITTF Handbook 2022 section 2 on Rules of TableTennis

I can see the 10 minute limit being necessary for amateur events & even most pro events in earlier rounds.Jada C wrote: ↑March 31st, 2025, 11:24 am Below is a quote from ITTF Handbook 2022 section 2 on Rules of TableTennis

This rule should be changed for finals of national & international events in singgles & doubles only (not teams).
It should be set back to 15 minutes for above events only.
15 minutes was the earlier limit in 21 point games.
The offensive player already has too much of an advantage. The finals match should be a test of endurance as well as other skills.
Actually I doubt if it will even still effect any matches on men's side

This is very true. A pro tennis match could last anywhere from 1.5 hours to 4 hours.Over Slice wrote: ↑March 31st, 2025, 1:25 pm The offensive player already has too much of an advantage. The finals match should be a test of endurance as well as other skills.
It is not like the attacker does not already have enough of an overwhelming advantage due to severely biasd rules that favor the attcaker.
I realize spectators may not enjoy expedited matches at lower levels but for lower levels there are hardly any spectators anyway other than other players or family members LOL
Spectators also would want a longer match at higher levels with both (pro) players being highly skilled.

So you think the robotNazi controlled ITTF would yield anything to defenders especially choppers ?Over Slice wrote: ↑March 31st, 2025, 1:25 pm

Dream on.
ITTF had worked so hard to exterminate the choppers with these (click link) 13 rule and regulation changes
Why would they go back ?
