Side note. I once played Marty when he was in his early 70's. My club in New Jersey decided to have an informal hardbat tournament and invited Marty as a special guest and I was in his round robin group. Basically, it was a comfortable win for Marty as he was too steady and I made too many errors trying to make the necessary attack to win a point or force a weak return. Hardbat is not my game. It was obvious to me that he had great control of the ball.

You should have watched Fernc Sido videos to learn.
Then you may have had a chance against Marty :D

World Table Tennis World Championships

1947 Finals Sido vs Vana
Sido lost

1959 Finals Rong Guotuan vs Fernc Sido
Sido lost

But Sido won in 1953 (He was the last hardbat player to win the title)
