Is there a way to limit spin in table tennis, like pickleball does for every paddle

This forum explores & explains how choppers are the most ignorant fools of tabletennis & how they are TOTALLY clueless about the history of the sport in the context of chopping blades & rubbers & how choppers are so spineless with zero self-respect or self-esteem. WHy they have no clue about 14 rule changes by ITTF since 1977 to limit them

Is there a way to limit spin in table tennis, like pickleball does for every paddle

Post by Pong Frog »

ITTF always pretends to complain that there is too much spin and speed & because of this does not attract spectators
Why can't they limit spin then like pickleball ?
To be approved pickleball rackets cannot have spin more than 2100 RPM

Most players assemble their paddle on their own using rubbers (usually different types in many cases) & blades
Unless you can come up with a gadget & process to measure spin at a low level tournament, this idea won't fly

The robotNazis , who control the ITTF will go ape wild if ITTF even thinks about doing anything like this

Because the goal of robotNazis is to maximize their top spin with their spinny inverted rubbers and of course use boosters and spein glues which are unapproved by ITTF & common law illegal , at the same time minimizing the back spin available to defenders with ITTF's
(click link >) 18 rule and regulation changes since 1977 to severely limit the defenders in the current 40+ mm plastic ball only era by limiting back spin etc

LOL
They do not have to test every racket in table tennis
Assume that some lab tested the top spin RPM of a spinny inverted rubber such as Tenergy or Zyre 3 or Hurricane 3 Neo etc. and compared it to the back spin created by useless slim pips on ITTF LARC such as Feint long 2 or 3 or KTL Stranger OX (or even actual long pips such as Magic 77)

This would easily expose the robotNazis controlled ITTF corruption

I am of course not even remotely suggesting that they have to be equal or even close .
And I am not all also saying that 50% players in table tennis must be defenders .
That would be absurd .

But all I am saying is that ITTF should be reasonable and set a fair and level playing field if they want to sing that diversity song to fool the clueless choppers

Is this testing with boosted & spein glued spinny inverted rubbers? Even without spein gluing or boosting , the top spin level would come out crazy higher than back spin

Reminds me of so called "Gentleman's agreement" where street motorcycles limit their max speed to 186 MPH ( 300 KMPH)

But actual top speeds are as below

From a personal standpoint , I don't give a hoot if robotNazis want to impart top spins of 18000 RPM
(The estimated maximum top spin is around 9000 RPM if I am not mistaken. So 18000 is twice that).

I am fully aware of the fact that table tennis is first & foremost a sport of spins.
Spin and not speed is the most distinctly unique characteristic of this sport as compared to any other racket sport.
Tennis & badminton for example have higher speeds
Tennis also has significant spin levels.
But table tennis is reaching speeds closer and closer to that but also with clearly higher spin levels

But my big problem is the shameless hypocrisy of the robotNazis.
They want to keep increasing top spins (& speeds) with faster blades & spinny inverted rubbers but at the same time keep coming up with crazier & crazier ways to limit back spin as they have done 18 times since 1977.

As Kellen pointed out in earlier post in this thread, I am also by no means suggesting that backspins have to be exactly equal to top spins or even close or whatever.
And as pointed out I am not demanding that 50% players should be choppers or even choppers+blockers+hitters , the other three playing styles in all spins diversity table tennis.
All I am asking for is a reasonably fair & level playing field to promote all playing styles.
But the playing field is currently ridiculously tilted one way to the side of top spinning robot Nazis
A slim pips rubber that is 2.05 mm in length (current maximum allowed) with and aspect ratio of 1.1 (current maximum allowed & was dropped from 1.3 between 1977 & 1998) is a complete joke with the 40+ plastic ball only. RobotNazi controlled ITTF knows this & everyone knows this.

A somewhat if not totally fair value would be a maximum allowed pip length of 2.50 mm instead of 2.05 mm and a maximum allowed pip aspect ratio of 1.5. This does not mean choppers need crazy disruptive rubbers . Disruption can still be regulated by limiting other parameters such as coefficient of friction & pips density (surprise surprise........ITTF has already limited it in 2004 & 2008 LOL) & pip flexibility .

When ITTF went after TSP Curl P1 in 1995 (failed attempt at Tianjin 1995 BGM) to reduce the Aspect ratio ,it went after the wrong parameter when the regulation actually passed as narrowly as possible in 1998 at Durban EGM by something like a vote of 19 to 17. So what happened was that Feint Long Classic turned out to be the collateral damage resulting in chopper massacre 2 that wiped out about 15 choppers male & female at the top 100 level with 2 in the top 10 (Chen Xinhua & Li Gun Sang).
Choppers do NOT need unpredictable rubbers. They need the opposite. The most controllable as was the case with Feint Long (Classic version)& Juic Leggy Classic version as compared to TSP P1 Curl P1 (the primary stated reason for passing of the 1998 Durban Aspect Ratio Reduction regulation) & rubbers like Tibhar Super Long (classic version.
