They have done this, yes? Perhaps not to your satisfaction. I know there underlying things that you were not happy about (banning of defensive equipment, 40mm ball and it took twelve years) but basically, no more second hand glue-sucking for me... or kids or women who may or may not be pregnant. I'm actually not happy that they are banning regular glue as well as sometimes, I can be an EJ and like to try out rubbers quite often.
2. The ITTF (IOC) reset the maximum allowed Aspect Ratio to 1.5 ( back to 1.3 first and then add another 0.2 to compensate for the 40 mm ball, pip desnsity rule and reduced friction levels ). Please note :- Just increasing Aspect Ratio only does not necessarily increase unpredictability . It is possible in fact to reduce unpredictability. The reason then to do this to return the spin producing ability that was robbed from the spineless coward by the Aspect Ratio Rule, 40 mm ball and the PipDensity Rule.
Without going into the specific numbers and such, I have no problem with this proposal. As a both sides inverted looper/blocker non-regluer, I have the option of getting faster equipment if I desire. Thus, I have equipment for offense that I can upgrade to "extreme" offense. So, why not have "extreme" defense? It was a shame to ban all those DrN rubbers. It can be frustrating playing against them but I truly felt that people should have had the option of using them.
3. Reduce the maximum allowed sponge thickness from 2.5 mm to 1.8 mm to make the playing field somewhat close to level
I have no problem with this. I would prefer 2.0 since it's a nice round number. But then there's the issue of composite blades, new technology sponges that you have to worry about.
These are not new ideas that you have. Many people share this, although without as much um, passion (I guess) as you're showing. Perhaps if you choose a more moderate platform, maybe more people will accept the ideas. But hey, maybe that's not your style.
