I am trying to find a chopping blade.
Is this same as a defensive blade?
I get confusing opinions

Good luck with that

You can say there are 2 types of defensive blades / rackets
1. for at-the-table block defender
2. for away-from-the-table chop defender
There are a few smart blades available for at-the-table block defender
Manufacturers falsely advertise these as "over-sized" , which is especially hilarious in the 40+ plastic ball only era
But there had NEVER been a production chop defender smart blade large enough even in the 38 mm ball sponge domain era
Some knowledgeable players like Pete May use custom made smart blades but choppers for the most part absolutely clueless about their needs

That is the whole idea. Manufacturers & (click link >) robotNazis controlled ITTF do want the choppers to stay confused about their needs :D
