But seriously, there are NO chopping long pips on the ITTF LARC in the current 40+ plastic ball ONLY era

Because of the 14 rule or regulation changes since 1977 (to exterminate the choppers slowly, rather than ban all pips & anti), it is not possible to design a long pips rubber within current ITTF rules & design specifications to provide decent level of backspin for anywhere close to a level playing field
